Okay, I'm a boot snob. I spend large money on footwear because it really does make THAT much of a difference to my day. Timberland pro has the Titan last which really works for my foot. I have a skinny, bony foot with a very narrow heel. A dancer's foot, as a doc once said. If you have the foot of a cave man, this is not the boot for you. Seek the 3E's from Blundstone or maybe Carolina. I have not yet pounded serious ground with this, but am confident that it will do good things. It is MO-FO heavy, folks. You can get used to it, but if your gig involves lots of climbing, you might want to look more carefully at composite toes. The upper is well built, and the sole is solid. I don't mess about with the cheap stuff, and I don't pay big money unless it is WORTH it. The leather will get chewed up a little, but the boot won't fall apart. It just takes a good, rough, used look. All charm and performance. Just the way it should be.
