Waterproof - Waterproof footwear is designed to prevent water from entering the interior of the shoe or boot, keeping the wearer's feet dry and comfortable in wet and damp conditions. This type of footwear is commonly worn in various work environments, outdoor activities, and recreational settings where exposure to rain, mud, puddles, and wet surfaces is likely.
Metguard - Metatarsal guard (metguard) footwear is a specialized type of safety footwear designed to provide protection to the metatarsal bones, which are the bones located in the mid-foot region just above the toes. Metatarsal injuries can occur in various work environments, especially in industries involving heavy machinery, construction, and manufacturing. Metguard footwear is specifically engineered to mitigate the risk of metatarsal injuries caused by impact, compression, and other potential hazards.
Composite Toe - Composite toe footwear is a type of safety footwear designed to protect the toes from potential hazards in various work environments. The term "composite" refers to the use of non-metallic materials, often a combination of materials like fiberglass, Kevlar, carbon fiber, or other reinforced plastics, to create the protective toe cap. Composite toe caps offer protection similar to steel or alloy toe caps but with the advantage of being lighter in weight.
Electrical Hazard - Electrical Hazard footwear is designed to impede the flow of electricity through the shoe and to the ground, reducing the likelihood of electrocution, in accordance with ASTM F2413-11.
