Upper Valley Haven

Since 1980 the Upper Valley Haven has provided temporary shelter and educational programming for homeless families and adults, food to anyone in need, as well as children’s after school and summer programs, community outreach, and problem solving support. They have also been a recipient of our Carolina “Sock A Way” program where new pairs of warm socks were donated for every pair of work boots sold at Super Shoes. Breast Cancer Awareness – Cumberland Valley

Breast Cancer Awareness-Cumberland Valley, Inc. is an organization that is staffed with individuals that can give you the tools to fight your diagnosis. They are familiar with the anxiety and questions a diagnosis of breast cancer can cause and are here to share their knowledge in order to help. BCA-CV serves counties in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia. They also offer scholarships to individuals in those counties who have been affected by Breast Cancer. Vanessa has over 30 years working in healthcare and has experience as a Travel Dialysis RN covering six different clinics within three states as well as more recently working as a Home Hemodialysis RN. Her goal is to help change an industry where less than 20% of patients choose home dialysis (PD or HHD) as an option. She is on a journey to bring awareness, education, and truth to help decrease the fear that patients and medical professionals have about successful hemodialysis being managed at home.
